Fire Officer II

Service Description

This course is a 40 hour course designed to meet the requirements of the Pro Board Fire Officer II and assist the student with various problems and situations they may be required to manage in today’s changing fire service. The curriculum provides the student with a further understanding of the National Fire Protection Association standard (NFPA 1021), but also gives the student an overview of their organization. This course is designed for the Fire Officer or candidate who is ready to step into the middle management level of their department and assume more of a leadership role. After finishing this course, the candidate will be more knowledgeable of departmental budgets, fire investigation, ICS, and various reports. This course is in line with NFPA 1021 and NPQS. Georgia students will have finished the task book required to sit for the NPQS test. Tennessee students will get a certificate of completion and be eligible to test at the state level.
